Indicators Summary

About These Summaries

These summaries present key regional indicators for the West of England’s priority areas. The indicators measure progress against the West of England Growth Strategy. They are not intended to directly measure outcomes or outputs for WECA projects, but rather to provide a high-level overview of regional trends and performance. A wide range of factors affect these indicators, including residents’ and businesses’ actions, long-term trends, national and international economic conditions, as well as regional interventions.

The default geography includes North Somerset as part of a wider West of England region unless otherwise stated. A process is underway to incorporate North Somerset into the West of England Combined Authority.
